Project Description
WELCOME TO OUR CENTRE
We are part of Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association (CMKA). CMKA has been around since 1952 and as a not-for-profit organisation we provide high quality early learning and care service.
The team at Clevedon Kindergarten are committed to inspire tamariki (children) to learn and develop a passion for lifelong learning in a holistic environment, where they can explore, investigate and engage in through play. We aim to promote a sense of belonging, responsibility, curiosity, resilience and kindness, where tamariki are encouraged to develop respect for each other, our environment and our living world in authentic ways.
We value and acknowledge each tamati (child) for their prior knowledge, their uniqueness, the skills, interest and the heritage they come with. We will work together as a team to encourage tamariki to become kaitiaki (guardian) of their place; to embrace a culthure through whananugatanga (relationships) and manaakitanga (caring for others) and celebrate with them the diversities with Aotearoa.
At Clevedon Kindergarten it is a privilege to work with tamariki and their whanau (family) to make a positive difference in tamariki lives and to work in partnership to support tamariki as confident, competent learners ready for the challenges of life and their school education.
