Project Description

At Conifer Grove Kindergarten we invite you and your whānau (family) to experience an environment that welcomes individuality and promotes lifelong learning.  It is a fun and educational place where children can meet and make friends while they explore and experience new and exciting challenges. A place in which parents and whānau are welcome to spend time with their children. We provide a quality well-resourced kindergarten where all full time teaching staff are qualified, and environment where children have the opportunity to make their own choices, and are affirmed as capable and independent learners.

We believe that through developing a close and respectful relationship with our families we are able to work together in developing aspirations for our children.  By noticing, recognising, responding and documenting children’s strength and interests we are able to provide meaningful learning experiences.  While in our care your child will:

  • Be treated with dignity and respect
  • Learn to develop positive relationships with children, adults and the environment.
  • Have their cultural and spiritual beliefs respected and affirmed by all.
  • Experiment with a range of equipment and resources.

At Conifer Grove Kindergarten we use responsive planning to support and respond to children’s interest/needs, as this enables both the children and teachers to plan for their learning interests.  We use both our indoor and outdoor environment to support the children to meet the challenges their interests may present to them along the way.

Clayton Park Kindergarten is such a special place. Led by a wonderful head teacher, the team at Clayton Park are all super friendly, experienced, professional and very supportive! The teachers and support staff always go the extra mile to ensure the tamariki and whanau are well looked after and create a very nurturing and happy environment. I love the atmosphere at the Kindy, it’s so positive and always abuzz as the tamariki are always busy exploring. The children are introduced to a wide range of activities on a daily basis, always learning and developing and more importantly having fun as they do it!! My son really enjoys his time there. His confidence has come ahead in leaps and bounds and he has developed wonderful relationships with all the teachers and support staff and has made some awesome friends along the way. You are all truly superstars ladies! Says a lot if Jaxson can’t wait to get back there every week!read more

I have both my daughters enrolled at Clayton Park Kindergarten, and they absolutely love it! No place they would rather be. They adore all their teachers and always come home to tell me about all the fun things they have been doing throughout the day. As a mother, I have really enjoyed the fact that they keep the whanau involved with the children’s learning! I have been to a number of performances that the kids have put on for us, as well as educational school trips. I have seen so much growth in both my girls since they started last year. Their confidence has boosted and I can see they are really thriving. A big thank-you to the beautiful teachers from the bottom of my guys are amazing read more
