Homai Kindergarten is part of a culturally diverse community. Our families cultures are respected and acknowledged and families are encouraged to share the culture and traditions that are important to them.
We are a very well-resourced kindergarten with a large outdoor play environment which allows the children to be physically challenged. Being semi-rural, children are provided with opportunities to observe farm animals. Our quality learning resources allow the children to work individually and in groups at child-initiated play. Children’s interests are the basis for providing extra learning experiences (e.g. trips, puppet shows, visiting specialists such as carpenters, drum workshops etc.), the learning outcome of which is to empower children through the provision of additional learning opportunities.
In partnership with our families, we are passionate about promoting children’s health and well-being. This has been done in conjunction with the Mighty Mouth teeth brushing program and the Heart Foundation.
