We a very well-resourced learning environment which caters for a culturally diverse community.
We are situated at the Redhill end of Settlement Road, bordering Ardmore and Papakura. The kindergarten is in an established residential area, with new subdivisions being developed nearby.
We offer a large outdoor environment. Our outdoor grounds are natural and planted with shrubs, vegetable gardens and native plants. The environment encourages a variety of children’s play experiences and contributes to healthy development and a respect for nature.
We greatly value partnerships with our Whānau and encourage the contribution of their skills, knowledge and ideas. We support the concept of Ākonga ‘to teach to learn’ as an educational approach to support robust relationships for our communities ongoing growth, knowledge and understanding of others.
Our fully qualified teaching team, value the importance of learning through play and we foster learning dispositions such as confidence, determination, problem-solving and a love of learning.
We strongly believe that engagement and education is a right of all children and whānau. Therefore we provide an environment that is inclusive for children with special rights and their individual way of being and learning.
We provide meaningful opportunities for creativity through art, music and dramatic play, as well as an environment that fosters numeracy and literacy.
We acknowledge the importance of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and learn alongside our tamariki, through Waiata, Te Reo, stories, Tikanga Maori and the respect and love of Papatuanuku.
