Alfriston Road Kindergarten, Manurewa – Full Time Teacher

This is a Full Time position (40 hours per week) in an established and well-resourced Kindergarten in the Manurewa area. The Kindergarten operates full day sessions (8.00am -5.00pm) as well as 6 hour and 4 hour sessions. There is a roll of 30 children and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio.
We are seeking an experienced, fully certificated, self motivated, enthusiastic teacher who has a passion for working in multicultural communities. Experience working in a mixed age setting with 2-5 year olds and a commitment to professional development and on-going learning would be preferable.
We are looking for a Teacher who has a good understanding of inclusive planning, assessment and internal evaluation practices, with a positive approach towards teaching and learning. You will be welcomed into a passionate, fun team with strong connections to the community and as part of our team you will enjoy working closely with whānau and supporting active children from diverse backgrounds. We are looking for a teacher who is an effective communicator, who has a passion for building meaningful relationships with children and their families and who has a drive to provide learning opportunities that extend beyond the centre, out into the wider community.

Applicants require a minimum qualification of a Diploma (Level 7) or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and current teacher registration practicing certificate.
