Finlayson Park Kindergarten, Manurewa – Full Time Teacher

Job Description:

This is a full time 40 hour per week position (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday) in an established and well-resourced Kindergarten serving a diverse community. The Kindergarten operates a mix of full day, 6 hour and 4 hour sessions and is open to children in the term breaks. The Kindergarten has a licensed roll of 40 children and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio. Finlayson Park Kindergarten is located in the grounds of a primary school. It enjoys strong community links and the team is engaged in a number of community initiatives within the Manurewa area.

We are seeking a Teacher who is versatile and a great communicator, who can lead and deliver quality teaching practices in a team, work with Tamariki in a mixed age setting, and is willing and proactive around change.

The successful applicant must have sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning, be committed to on-going professional development, and demonstrate strong and inclusive professional practices. Applications are invited from teachers holding provisional or full certification.

Applicants require a  minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Training ECE, current first aid certificate and current teacher registration practicing certificate.
